Our Accompanist
Alliston-born, Louise Gallaugher earned her Bachelor of Music in performance from Queen’s University and her ARCT in performance from the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto. Among her teachers were Ireneus Zuk and Margaret Parsons Poole. After earning her Masters of Library and Information Science from the University of Western Ontario, she worked as a music librarian at the Toronto Reference Library for eight years. Louise returned to the Alliston area in 1996, where she maintains a piano teaching studio and performs as a freelance accompanist for festivals and solo recitals. She is Music Director at Knox Presbyterian Church, Alliston and St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Mansfield. Louise has been the accompanist for the New Tecumseth Singers since September 2011.
